Cats are cute little creature that can help you relieve your stress. Cat is the only Domesticated Species in the family Felidae and often referred to as the Domestic Cat to distinguish it from wild members of the family.

The cats are can either be a House Cat or a Farm Cat which are pets, or a Feral Cats which ranges freely and avoids human contact.

House Cat or Farm Cat is a domestic cat, especially one kept as a household pet. But there’s a difference between house cat and farm cat, house cat is more friendlier, and approachable to humans, they’re more compatible in living with humans indoor. Most house cats crave your love and attention, but they prefer they get it on their terms instead of yours. While the farm cat, also known as a barn cat, is usually of mixed breed, that lives primarily out-of-doors, in a feral or semi-feral condition on agricultural properties, usually sheltering in outbuildings. They eat assorted  vermin such as rodents and other small animals that live in or around outbuildings and farm fields. The need for the farm cat may have been the original reason cats were domesticated, to keep rodents from consuming or contaminating grain crops stored for later human consumption. They are still commonly kept for their effectiveness at controlling undesired vermin found on farms and ranches, which would otherwise eat or contaminate crops, especially grain or feed stocks. Farm cats hunt the initial rodent population, and pheromones keep further rodents from filling the void.

Feral cat is an un-owned domestic cat that lives outdoors and avoids human contact: it does not allow itself to be handled or touched, and usually remains hidden from humans. Feral cats may breed over dozens of generations and become an aggressive apex predator in urban, savannah and bushland environments. Some feral cats may become more comfortable with people who regularly feed them, but even with long-term attempts at socialization, they usually remain aloof and are most active after dusk.
Feral cats are devastating to wildlife, and conservation biologists consider them to be one of the worst invasive species on Earth.

Characteristics of a cat
Although every cat has its own personality, all cats have some characteristics that some people find endearing and others find off-putting. Cats can be inquisitive, friendly, playful, active, loving and independent. Just remember who is boss; cats appreciate attention but only when they want it. Cats are intelligent, elegant, calming companions, capable of dealing with their own exercise and cleaning. Cats can be very vocal, especially when they’re happy. Cats are known to show a preference for interacting with their owners over strangers, the social behaviour of cats can vary.

1. Scottish Fold
The Scottish Fold is a breed of domestic cat with a natural dominant-gene mutation that affects cartilage throughout the body, causing the ears to “fold”, bending forward and down towards the front of the head, which gives the cat what is often described as an “owl-like” appearance. Scottish Fold is indeed unique and super delightful. It’s like they usually beg something because of their fold over ears. They frequently look slightly sad, which makes you attached with them more.

2. Exotic Persian
The Exotic Shorthair is a breed of cat developed as a short-haired version of the Persian. The Exotic is similar to the Persian in many ways, including temperament and conformation, a flat nose and face with the exceptions of the short dense coat. For me, Exotic Persian breed is included in the list. Their face is squished-shape. These cats look indeed disappointed and grumpy. Their maintenance is incredibly high and must cater to every whim of them. And to be reasonable, you are.

3. Himalayan
The Himalayan is an extreme looking breed. The body is short but thick with thick legs and a short, thick neck. The boning is heavy but the tail is short and the ears are small. The head of the Himalayan is round and has large, round eyes. When viewed in profile, the face is flat with the nose changing direction so that you see primarily the colored skin on the nose (nose leather). The coat on a Himalayan is thick, full and long. It is very fine, but should be lustrous and glossy.

4. Siamese
For me, The Siamese cat should be on the list because siamese is one of the first distinctly recognized breeds of Asian cat. Siamese is affectionate, social, intelligent, and playful into adulthood, often enjoying a game of fetch. Siamese tend to seek human interaction and also like companionship from other cats.

5. Persian
The Persian cat is a long-haired breed of cat characterized by its round face and short muzzle. It is also known as the “Persian Longhair”. Persian Cats have a slight difference from the Exotic Persians. The squished shaped face is lesser and of course, each cat has different qualities. These cats, when eating, tend to eat out of plate because their face can’t fit the cat’s bowl.

6. Main Coon
The Maine Coon is the largest domesticated cat breed. It has a distinctive physical appearance and valuable hunting skills. It is one of the oldest natural breeds in North America, specifically native to the state of Maine, where it is the official state cat. In particular, these cats can transform into a giant and that makes them wonderful. Yeah, you got it right, giant. Similar to large dogs, they can grow as big as them. This maybe perhaps we wanted for a cat. Who doesn’t want a cat that can be the size of a double pillow?

7. Munchkin
The Munchkin cat or Sausage cat is a newer breed of cat characterized by its very short legs, which are caused by a genetic mutation. Much controversy erupted over the breed when it was recognized by The International Cat Association (TICA) in 1995 with critics voicing concern over potential health and mobility issues. These little Munchkins never actually grow that much. Munchkins’ legs are truly broad and short, which make them the perfect cat. If there’s a choice? I know you would like a cat to be tiny Munchkin or a giant Maine Coon.

8. British Longhair
The British Longhair cat is medium to large in size, with a robust body and muscular appearance. Their neck is short. The legs are medium to short in size, and their paws are round. The British Longhair cat or kitten’s tail must measure the equivalent of two thirds of the body, and be fluffy and well-supplied. British cat is just simply adorable. When someone posts online and say that their cat is more awesome than the others, then that might be the British Long Hair. Their coats are soft and long, and they would want to keep it neat. And like all the cats around, they’ve always wanted to be above us and catering them is a must.

9. Siberian
The Siberian cat vary from medium to large in size. The formal name of the breed is Siberian Forest Cat, but usually it’s simply called the Siberian or Siberian cat. Another formal breed name is the Moscow Semi-Longhair. The cat is an ancient breed that is now believed to be ancestral to all modern long-haired cats. Siberian Cats are totally mesmerizing. Fluffy, long, and shiny coats is what they have and yes they are indeed amazing cats. Undeniably, they are cuddly, as in they could purr for hours if you brush them.

10. Ragdoll
The Ragdoll is a cat breed with a color point coat and blue eyes. They are large and muscular semi-longhair cats with a soft and silky coat. Ragdoll cats, as our finale. Compared to Siamese cats, they look slightly fluffier. As we face the reality, Siamese cats are not that cute. Nevertheless, cats become cuter if they have tons of fluff, the fluffier, the better it can be.
